WHAT WE DO

Founded by a group of local volunteers in 2022, Hills to Hawkesbury Community Media Association inc is a not-for-profit organisation, working towards creating videos of the work undertaken by not-for-profit organisations within The Hills and Hawkesbury areas of Sydney.

We welcome volunteers to join our organisation who have expertise in video productions, video editing and media in general.  We also welcome students studying digital media who wish to gain experience in filming and production of videos of local not-for-profit organisation events and work.

Our aim is to attend events organised by charities and not-for-profit organisations to provide live-steaming services, video, photo capture, interviews in order to help them promote not only their event, but their activities.  As most of these community groups are run by volunteers, many do not have the expertise to create and edit videos, live stream or conduct professional interviews.  

On the job training can be provided to student volunteers from our own experienced digital media volunteers, and I’m sure the students will also share some great insights into how younger people view the online world, so its a win-win for everyone
